Amad Office provided advisory and training services to evaluate and adjust application of integrated management system in the area of occupational safety and health, in the General Administration of Industrial Security at the Ministry of Water and Electricity and its affiliated sites in the kingdom, according to international standards and specifications OHSAS 18001: 2007 and to gain the certification.
The project included the implementation of the several stages on the target facilities:
First stage: Gap analysis: carrying out Gap Analysis for the entire current Safety Management System and conducting a comprehensive survey of all operations in accordance with the requirements of international standard OHSAS 18001:2007 at different sites in the kingdom.
The Second stage: Training and awareness-raising on the occupational Safety and Health management system: by conducting training programs and workshops to educate workers of the occupational safety and health system at the above identified sites about work hazards and how to prevent and control them, and by qualifying a proper number of fire and safety management personnel as internationally registered and certified auditors for occupational safety and health.
Third stage: Documentation and preparing documents for occupational safety and health system: by defining the scope of Occupational Safety and Health system and the operations included therein and their interactions, in addition to determining the general objectives of Occupational Safety and Health and their Implementation programs and the Occupational Safety and Health policy comprising the management message and vision, as well as:
Fourth stage: The application of occupational safety and health system: by developing safety management system documents, working under the created work procedures, controlling the system performance and intervening with proper directions in case of problematic application.
Fifth stage: Internal auditing of Occupational Safety and Health system and management review: by conducting the planned internal auditing in accordance with the internal auditing cycle and implementing corrective procedures appropriate to the discovered state of non-conformity.
Sixth stage: Obtaining the occupational health and safety system certificate OHSAS 18001: 2007 by communication with the certificate granting authorities and by coordination therewith to obtain such certificate. Amad was granted the following completion certificate for this project:
